This camp made me a Courageous girl!

Firstly, when I saw the brochure of the Himalayan camp I decided that I would be going to the camp with all my friends but unfortunately due to many reasons my friends canceled the Manali camp. I was sad and thought of not going without my friends. But my friends forced me to go and enjoy this camp for me and them. One of my close friends Tanisha then somehow agreed to come with me.

Finally, the day came when we had to leave for Manali at 8.50 PM. This was our first camp with CAC All-rounder. As soon as we boarded our train there was a hassle for luggage but in a very short span, everything got sorted out with the help of our experienced instructors. We reached Delhi at 12 pm the next day. We had our lunch and left for Manali at 4 pm by bus. And the next morning at 8 AM we reached the entrancing Manali. The snow-capped Himalayas and the roads through the mountains were giving us a shower of heaven on earth. The same day we trek to Manu temple and Hadimba temple, though it was tiring, it gave us lots of fun and nature tender. The next day we visited Kaniyal village. It was a very beautiful village, wherein we learn many good things, about being self-dependent and respecting each other without discriminating against his religion, caste, education or a daily wage worker. On the fourth day, we visited Vashishth Kund where we enjoyed the natural hot spring sulphur water. It was an amazing experience.

Then the Rappelling activity removed my fear from death and me well-read the importance of various types of knots. The following day we went on the snow where I got to learn the importance of proper planning and strategy to move forward, without which we have to face a long fall in our life. Post that we went for white water rafting which was a little scary but awesome. This activity taught me that the response we receive from another person depends on the way we communicated to him/her. This is just a sum-up of my camp, there is a lot more to say. I learned a lot. This camp inculcated confidence and all my fear have vanished now. I wish to attend more such adventure trips in the coming years. Thank you, CAC.
